Literacy Day Gives Children Books and the Joy of Reading

South Bronx United held third annual Literacy Day on Saturday, May 4th at Macombs Dam Field. Children and their parents will be able to picked up free books, and SBU high school students read Wild Soccer Bunch books in story time 4-10 year old participants. Thanks to Literacy, Inc., Sole Books/Wild Soccer Bunch, Inc., the New York Public Library Mott Haven Branch, Kiwi Magazine, and countless individuals for their support. Read more about the event.

4th Annual College Showcase Tournament in the Books

The 2013 South Bronx United College Showcase Tournament was the best event to date, attracting 23 boys teams from the greater metropolitan area, including NYC, Westchester County, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut to Randall's Island for two days of games in front of college coaches from a diverse group of schools from the region.
