A year of discussions from the SBU Youth Council led to Executive Director Andrew So penning the article "Racism on Your Local Soccer Pitch" on Medium. In response, the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League and Cosmopolitan Soccer League two of the oldest youth and amateur soccer leagues in the country, are holding a #StandAgainstRacism weekend on April 13th and 14th. South Bronx United's City Showcase Tournament is highlighting the campaign the following weekend. We ask all organizations, parents, and players nationwide to read the article and share the campaign on social media.

The 2019 City Showcase Tournament plays out April 19-20 on Randall's Island. The annual competition places particular emphasis on providing inner-city and minority youth, who are underrepresented in higher education and college soccer, a platform to reach college. At the same time, the event welcomes more than 100 U14-U19 boys and girls teams from across the city and region and beyond. Teams have attended from nine states, Canada, and England. More than 80 college coaches register to attend annually. Registration is still open!

On February 7, 2019, South Bronx United celebrates ten years of serving the community. Exactly ten years ago, SBU held its first soccer session at St. Mary's Park. Help recognize ten years of service by contributing today. Stay tuned for more events celebrating this milestone through 2019.

Our Spring Recreational Soccer and Global Youth League seasons begin on March 16, 2019. These programs are open to all youth born between Jan 1, 2000 and December 31, 2014. There are spaces still available in several divisions and locations. You can register online now.
