South Bronx United's Travel Program starts at age 10. Teams train and compete all year round, including Fall and Spring seasons in the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League, affiliated with US Youth Soccer. Youth must tryout for these teams.
The primary goal of the program is to use soccer as a vehicle to help Bronx youth succeed in school, attend college, and develop strong character. The program gives players the opportunity to travel outside their neighborhoods, as they play throughout New York City and beyond, including the Eastern New York State Cup.
Players must attend the After School Tutoring Program and College Prep Program activities and complete Community Service.
South Bronx United's Recreational Program serves 400 boys and girls between the ages of 4-16. The recreational league is open to all children regardless of ability. During the Fall and Spring seasons, children play every Saturday at Macombs Dam field across form Yankee Stadium. The program promotes health and wellness through good nutrition and active lifestyles to fight childhood obesity. Children stay active in a safe environment and receive healthy organic snacks, thanks to a corporate food partnership.
