The SBU Supporters Club is South Bronx United's fan club and community group. The club supports South Bronx United through fundraising, by various events—including the SBU Charity Cup, a FIFA Xbox tournament, and various watch parties—and by building awareness of the organization's mission and impact. All proceeds raised help fund the organization's programming. The SBU Supporters Club Board manages the club and is comprised of NYC professionals who are passionate about the organization's mission and eager to engage in a leadership role to support South Bronx youth.

Roshini Amin
A. T. Kearney
Roshni joined South Bronx United in 2016 after moving to New York City. She is currently a Business Analyst at A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm, and earned her B.A. from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, Roshni enjoys traveling and playing soccer with her friends in recreational leagues in the city. Having seen the benefits of playing soccer herself, Roshni is excited to support SBU’s mission.

Ronak Amin
Brightstar Capital Partners Vice President
Ronak joined the SBU Junior Board in 2015 and serves as co-chair of the membership committee. He is currently a vice president at Brightstar Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on closely-held middle market companies, and holds a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In his free time, Ronak is an avid traveler, and after growing up playing soccer in the suburbs of New York, he can still be found trying to relive the glory days playing in soccer leagues throughout the city.

Michael Fox
Eko, Accounting and Finance Manager
Michael has tutored in the Sophomores Skills, SAT Prep, and College Prep programs at South Bronx United since the fall of 2014. He joined the Supporters Club board in 2015 and is now a co-chair of the Events Committee. He is the accounting and finance manager at Eko, a media and technology company specializing in interactive video. Michael graduated from Boston College in 2009, and in his free time you can find him gasping for air on the intramural soccer fields or screaming at Liverpool FC on TV.

Duncan Graham
Associate Analyst, NERA Economic Consulting
Duncan started with SBU as a Summer Scholars intern during the summer of 2013, at which point he had just completed his sophomore year at the University of Rochester. He maintained a relationship with SBU for the remainder of his college years, attending events in NYC and playing in SBU soccer tournaments whenever he was in the area. After graduation, Duncan moved to NYC to work full-time at NERA Economic Consulting. Now that he’s living in the city, he’s excited to contribute to SBU’s mission through coaching rec soccer on weekends and being a part of the SBU Supporters Club Board.

Jonathan Lo

Jonathan joined the SBU Supporters Club Board in 2017. He currently is an Analyst at Bregal Partners, a middle-market private equity firm investing across Consumer, Food and Retail, Healthcare, and Energy Services sectors. Jonathan graduated from Northwestern University where he received a B.A. in Economics. In his free time, Jonathan can be found be playing pick-up soccer in the East Village, supporting Jeremy Lin/Brooklyn Nets, or reading a book at various coffee shops across the city.

Etienne Lussiez
Barclays
Etienne joined the SBU Supporters Club Board in 2017 and is a member of the events committee. He is currently an Assistant Vice President at Barclays, working in the equity derivatives trading division since July 2013. Etienne earned dual degrees at the University of Michigan, completing both Mechanical Engeering and Industrial and Operations Engineering degrees while being a member of the Michigan Men's Varsity Soccer team for his junior and senior years.

Aaron Markowitz
Rotational Leadership Program, Comcast NBCUniversal
Aaron began volunteering with South Bronx United in 2014 as a U8 coach before joining the SBU Supporters Club Board. In 2012, he graduated from Fordham University, where he was a four year division I soccer athlete. Aaron completed his MBA from Columbia University in 2018 and now works for Comcast NBCUniversal following stints at CBS Interactive and Morgan Stanley.

Russ Martonis
Head of Client Services and Integrated Production, Story Worldwide
Russ has been involved with SBU since it's second year, coaching U13 and U16 rec teams, and mentoring SBU Academy youth through our College Prep Program. When not helping the Supporters Club, he works in Account Services at Story Worldwide. He has also worked at SAGA Content and Avrett Free Ginsberg. Russ graduated from Fordham University in 2007, and in his spare time can be seen playing in soccer leagues around the city.

Sushaan Modi
Associate, PJT Partners
Sushaan began volunteering with SBU in the Fall of 2014 after moving to New York City. He has and continues to coach a U-10 boys rec teams and has also been involved in SBU as a tutor. He is currently an Associate in the Strategic Advisory group at PJT Partners (formerly Blackstone Advisory Partners) where he primarily works in Technology, Media and Telecom and Sports. Sushaan was a member of the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business at the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.A. from the College of Arts and Sciences and a B.S. from the Wharton School.

Nick Mulford
Goldman Sachs
Nick grew up playing soccer and basketball in a town of 2,000 in the Finger Lakes of Western New York. From there, I went to the University of Rochester to study Physics and Financial Economics. Upon graduating, he moved to New York City to work for an economic consulting firm. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball or soccer outdoors (when it's not too cold), reading non-fiction books on a myriad of topics, and trying to find the best cup of coffee in Manhattan.

Dean Pagonis
Consultant, Boston Consulting Group
Dean, who was born and raised in Australia, is a consultant and avid soccer fan and FIFA aficionado since FIFA '96. He is currently at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) New York where he spends his time supporting the non-profit, public, and private equity clients. He joined BCG in Austrailia in 2015 and has worked with clients across Asia, the U.S., and Scandinavia. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, and Statistics at the University of Melbourne. Although he was raised in Australia, he still considers himself to be a proud New Yorker.

Mike Pena
Analyst, Goldman Sachs
Mike is an Analyst in the Institutional Lending Group at Goldman Sachs where he focuses on opportunistic credit investing and portfolio management. Previously, Mike worked at NewHeights Capital doing middle market private equity investing. Mike joined South Bronx United
as part of the travel team in 2010, since then he has been actively involved with supporting the organization. Mike is a SBU College Scholar. Mike earned a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance and a Double Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics with Minors in Finance and Management & Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2017.

Jason Pyke
Associate, Kirkland & Ellis LLP
Jason Pyke is an Associate in the Investment Funds group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he advises private investment fund sponsors, institutional investors and other market participants in the alternative investment fund space. Prior to this, Jason was an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he served in various corporate transactional roles in the Investment Management, Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets groups. Jason received his J.D. with Harlan Fiske Stone honors from Columbia Law School, where he was an Essays and Reviews Editor of the Columbia Law Review, and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Howard University. Jason was born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago and is a lifelong Madridista.

Jamie Reilly

Jamie joined the SBU Supporters Club Board in 2017. He found SBU through a teammate of his at Manhattan Celtic FC, where he plays on the right wing and is a club director. In 2015, Jamie graduated from Boston University with a M.Ed in Coaching and Sport Psychology. Jamie currently works as a chemistry and life science researcher for USMA in West Point, NY.

Justina Rothenberg
Financial Analyst, Promontory Interfinancial Network, LLC
Justina is a financial analyst for Promontory Interfinancial Network, LLC, a FinTech based in Washington, D.C. She's also pursuing her Master of Arts in Public Management at John Hopkins University, where she is combining her love of statistics and education reform to focus her studies on a public policy analysis in the education sector. When she's not at work or studying, she enjoys playing or coaching soccer, running, and building forts with her nieces and nephews.

Jacinto Shy

Jacinto joined the SBU Supporters Club Board in 2017. He is currently a Director of Engineering at Group Nine Media, where he works in Technology and Digital Media. Jacinto received his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Cleveland State University.

David Strider
Associate, Sterling Investment Partners
David joined the SBU Supporters Club Board in 2016 and serves as Secretary. He is currently an Associate at Sterling Investment Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, and is involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment activities. David earned his B.S. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He is a strong believer in the unifying power of soccer and enjoys playing the beautiful game with his friends every Saturday morning in Manhattan.

George is currently an Advertising Operations Associate at IAC's Dotdash. Prior to this, he worked at The New York Times as a Campaign Manager and he was volunteering as the "Business partner" with Pencil Org. During his time volunteering with Pencil he was able to spearhead many educational events for public school students such as having the P.S. 111 8th graders create a newspaper of their own with the help and supervision of New York Times staff. He moved to New York ten years ago and graduated from Queens College with an Economics degree. During his free time, he loves to play soccer, travel and participate in other volunteering activities.
