Class-based Soccer Coach (Ages 2-15)

SCOPE
South Bronx United seeks soccer coaches excited to share their joy for the game with youth children and youth from the ages of 2-15 through one-hour soccer classes held primarily on the weekends. Classes are held on a small mini indoor field. Coaches must have experience coaching and working with children in the relevant age groups but additional training will be provided. For coaches of the youngest age groups, coaches must be able to plan fun and engaging classes for toddlers that leaves that and their families joyful and while also building physical awareness and social skills. For older age groups, coaches require technical knowledge to lead sessions that are both engaging while also building soccer skills.

SCHEDULE
Classes are primarily held on Saturdays and Sundays. Exact time varies by age group. Coaches may be given a set schedule or fill in as a substitute coach

LOCATION
SBU Clubhouse, 814 River Avenue, Suite 3, Bronx, NY

COMMITMENT
Coaches can provide availability, but are expected to coach for at least a season.

QUALIFICATIONS
Previous coaching experience is required. For the youngest age groups (ages 2-6) coaching experience can be replaced by other age-relevant experiences.

Coaches will have opportunities for coaching trainings and will be connected to a network of caring staff and volunteers for fun soccer related events throughout the year.
