Recreational Soccer (ages 4-15)

2023-2024 ages: Girls Born 2010 - 2019 & Boys Born 2009 - 2019

Spring Registration opens January 1

Introductory sessions focus on introducing children to soccer making sure they have fun! Children learn the game while building hand-eye-foot coordination and listening skills. Children with and without experience are welcome to join. Held indoors at the SBU Clubhouse.

Clubhouse Tots Classes - Indoor (Ages 2 - 4)

2-3 Year Olds, 3-4 Year Olds, U4/5
Sign up your child for as many individual weekend classes as you want. 45-60 minutes.

Indoor training clinics are meant to supplement existing SBU programs and help children develop soccer skills in tight spaces. Participants work closely with SBU coaches. Intermediate skill level or higher is recommended. Sessions are held indoors in the SBU Clubhouse.

Global Youth League (ages 15-18)

Fall 2023: Girls Born 2005 - 2009 & Boys Born 2005 - 2008

Spring registrations opens January 1 for new players.

Sunday Indoor League at the SBU Clubhouse. Players will be placed on teams and receive a team shirt. Games are 3v3 and standings are kept.

Winter 2024 season: January 7 - March 10, 2024
For U15 boys and girls (born 2009, 2010, 2011).

Half-day soccer camp at Macombs Dam Park for children entering grades 1-5. Operates for six weeks. 2021 dates: July 6 - August 13.

SBU Academy (ages 11-19)

Immigration relief eligibility screenings are available to youth and family members who participate in SBU programs only. SBU is recognized by the Office of Legal Access Programs at the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide immigration legal services. Workshops, Clinics, and Forums are open to all members of the broader community.

 

A free program for 11th and 12th grade student-athletes. Participants work with staff and mentors to graduate high school, prepare for college and careers, and achieve their college admission goals. Casual indoor pickup soccer sessions and homework help offered, as well. 10th graders may attend monthly college prep workshops.

SBU College Access (Grades 10-12)

Preference for participants in the Global Youth League and with interest in casual indoor pickup soccer sessions. Not currently accepting participants. 10th grade open workshops upcoming.

 

Upcoming Soccer Clinics

 

ID Clinics are open to any youth in the community. For 2023-2024 year, youth must be born between 2005 and 2015 (U8 - U19) to be eligible for a clinic.

Youth interested in the SBU Academy or SBU Pre-Academy must register and attend an Open ID Clinic, but other children and teens are welcome to attend too. Clinics are generally held four times per year: February/April, June, August, and December. Clinics are usually held at either Macombs Dam Park or Mullaly Park.

Join us at Macombs Dam Park, Joseph Yancey Track, for free books and activities. Free books will be distributed at Rev. T. Wendell Foster Park and Patterson Park as well.
